Where has the Heat Gone?

The Heat has lost 5 in a row and they are getting near the bottom sitting in the 8th seed in the East for the playoffs. But is this not unexpected? I am not breaking any news here but the team has essentially bagged this season to set themselves up for the upcoming offseason where they will have tons of cap space. Now Dwyane Wade and Jermaine O’Neal are not happy with Erik Spoelstra and they essentially called him out after their 5th straight loss Saturday in Chicago. Where is this Heat team heading in 2009-2010? Will Dwyane Wade get so frustrated that he will look elsewhere after this season as a free agent despite the fact that no team can pay him more next season than Miami? Does Wade stay for next season, which I think he will, and have someone of the ilk of Chris Bosh alongside him next season? We will see…it will be an interesting offseason to say the least. But let us focus on the here and now. Can the Heat at least make the playoffs and save face? No Playoffs could equal disaster for Riley, Arison, and company.
